Our Lircay-Huancavelica Mission, is on the way and will offer charitable medical care to the local patients for two weeks in August, from the 8 to the 22nd. As of right now, our team consist of about 30 volunteers. We have shipped a container with medical equipment, medicines and hospital supplies to the local Mini Hospital. Customs in Peru have cleared our gifts and they will be transported to the final destination in the coming weeks.
The donations have been obtained to increase the bed total capacity from 16 beds to 26 beds for August. In addition, we are gathering a second shipment with additional needed supplies. Thank you to everyone that have contributed as individuals and as Institutions. Special thanks to Direct Relief International, Americares, our Peruvian Medical Society in USA, Cia de Minas Buenaventura in Peru, and the local support of hundreds of Peruvians in our native country. If you feel moved to donate, contact us and we will instruct you how to do it. Keep us in your prayers for God's blessings. Sara Fajardo was one of first volunteers and now she is working for Catholic Relief Services in Africa. I want to share with you her published experiences and reflections. From her participation in our mission, then in Ayacucho. It was a strong motivation for her future humanitarian choices.
