Today we just delivered 38 bicycles to orphans that are older than six at Aldea de los Ninos. In addition, we also delivered Diplomas for students excellence, clothes, and new shoes. However, the list does not end there. The six modern cooking stoves that were donated months ago by our sponsor Cia de Minas Buenaventura were installed and large sets of cooking, serving and cleaning tools and utensils were donated. The list of donations encompass: health and dental kits, and bike helmets. With regards to our donation of bicycles our team has also showed the orphans how to ride the bicycles with safety and to teach them to have respect for traffic. We also made repairs to all of the damaged play sets at their garden (swings, tip-tops, etc). We thanks VII Medical Mission TEAM, Mrs Luciana Puente and her generosity and suggestion of donating the bicycles, and the Texas PAMS Chapter, that was lead by Dr. Pablo V. Uceda. On other matters, structural repairs for the damaged and decaying buildings have started again with the partnership and is placed under surveillance by our generous partners and sponsors aforementioned. However, these minor changes may take a few weeks, but a decent living situation is being restored for the 48 wonderful children living there. With your help we can too help fully restore these buildings. |
