A beautiful photo that was received with great affection from Luis Felipe, who had surgery during the Medical Mission in Huancavelica. For 3 years, he had a tumor of the right eye. Unfortunately, where this little boy lived (Puerto Maldonado) there was no physician available to operate on his right eye. However, a string of good will brought him to Huancavelica where he then met Dr Aisha Simjee, an ophthalmologist from Southern California. She was able to successfully operate on his eye. Because of a successful operation, Luis can read well in school with no visual impairment. We are all happy for that this little boy was able to receive such a beautiful gift from God through the generosity of many good people. Thanks to Dr. Miguel Pro, PAMS also works in Puno in the little town of Marjuni. Life in Puno is 90% tougher than in the rest of Peru.
